The Twelve Days of Christmas illustrated by Jane Ray

 The Twelve Days of Christmas

Here is another scrumptious edition with lively illustrations scattered with falling snow. The final page echoes the beautiful love story where we see the young man presenting his true love with a single rose.  I especially love the "nine ladies dancing" which shows a group of 1920's flappers in coats with fur collars. You can see many of the illustrations on this Russian blog page. This video from YouTube is a reading of the whole book.

The exquisite artwork captures the very essence of the festive season, making this a book bound to be cherished and read year after year. Love Reading4Kids
