Favourite illustrators Part One

Do you have a favourite illustrator from the UK?

A Teacher-Librarian asked a question on a forum this week asking for favourite international illustrators to share with children in Grade One and Two. This is such a huge question so I thought I would break it down into countries or regions.

This post will focus on my own favourite illustrators from the UK. I am sure to miss some - please add your favourite in the comments. Each of the purple names take you to a blog post but in nearly every case there will be other titles to explore by each of these illustrators.

There are just too many British illustrators with memorable books. I would add Mini Grey; Tim Hopgood; Sarah Fox-Davies; Joe Todd-Stanton; Ross Collins; Jarvis. Kindergarten would say Ed Vere.

Huge thanks - I will add ALL of these to the post. I knew you would be able to add some wonderful names. I do love Sarah Fox-Davies and Tim Hopgood. It really is such a huge almost impossible question.
