Abner Graboff (1919-1986) is an American illustrator/graphic designer who originally came from Russia. In addition to children's books, Abner Graboff illustrated and designed album covers, along with cookbooks and music books.
First off I need to confess I have not actually see any books by Abner Graboff - I have only seen images of his illustrations and some book covers online but his work really appeals to me so I thought I might share some of his work here. I came across Abner Graboff when I was researching Roger Duvoisin and his publisher Bodleian.
His book The Sun Looks Down by Miriam Schlein (1954) was a New York Times best seller. See inside here. Melissa Sweet shared an image on her blog here.
