I have been collecting picture books by international authors and illustrators many of them translated into English from other languages.

Stars and Poppy Seeds published by Tate is one I was so pleased to discover. 

Romana Romanyshyn and Andriy Lesiv are a husband and wife illustrator pairing from Ukraine. They have received many accolades for their work, including the Bologna Ragazzi Award (2018), Honorary mention of the Biennial of Illustration in Bratislava (2012), Plaque of the Biennial of Illustration in Bratislava (2017), Honorary mention of Sharjah Children's Reading Festival (2015 and 2016), Honorary mention of Global Illustration Award (2016 and 2017), White Ravens list (2013, 2014, 2016) and were finalists of the European Design Award (2017). Tiny Owl is an independent publishing company committed to producing beautiful, original books for children. Established in 2015, our energy and passion stem from our belief that 

stories are bridges to new experiences.

Lantana sprung from the seed of an idea back in 2014. The seed was a question: where are all the books about children of colour? We will shepherd them through the publishing process, from creator to reader, with care and attention to detail. When we acquired these first books, it was a sign. They are inventive, surprising, touching, and multi-layered—and they remind me, upon every reading, of the passion and creativity that drew me to this business in the first place.
